The Client

The Smile Centre, established in 1989, has built an enviable reputation for natural-looking, perfectly fitted dentures for those with multiple or total loss of teeth. The company uses the latest technology to recreate its clients' smiles and facial structures.

The Smile Centre had been using traditional advertising methods, and had a basic template website with no online marketing - and no web enquiries.

The Brief

In 2003, The Smile Centre commissioned I-COM to prove that there was a market online for denture supply. Once proven, I-COM would build a new website and provide online marketing services for the business.

The Solution

We quickly improved the look and feel of the existing site, adding content and introducing call-to-action banners to encourage clients to purchase from the site. We then set up small-budget pay-per-click listings. Within minutes of going live, The Smile Centre began to receive enquires over the web and telephone.

The Result

By the end of the first quarter, we had generated a 3000% return on investment for The Smile Centre. Many people would have thought that selling dentures online would be a difficult proposition, but we showed the enormous potential of the Internet, even in this niche market.
